Great book with a lot of puzzles, it must be read after the opening tactics and basic strategies are clear.
I'm a professional chess teacher, and I really like Murray Chandler's books --they tend to have nice collections of thematically related tactics. I was excited to receive Chess Puzzles For Kids in the mail yesterday and I started using it in lessons today. Each tactical theme has an "easy" and a "hard" version-- good for teaching multi-level groups-- and makes a great warm up.
Excellent. Worth a look
Grandson liked it and played with it for several days. Now it lays on his desk.
It was worth the money.
Enjoying the positions presented in the book.
It's slightly harder for very beginners.
My 13 year old is addicted to all things chess. This was a birthday gift and he has enjoyed trying to solve the puzzles on each page. He gives it 5 stars.
